Surveyor (Geodetic Engineer)

About the Role

AlQudra Aldaema for Engineering Consultations is seeking a Surveyor (Geodetic Engineer) to support construction and engineering projects through accurate surveying, measurement, setting out, and site verification activities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting field surveys, interpreting engineering drawings, establishing accurate site layouts, and providing reliable surveying data to support project execution and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct land and construction surveys in accordance with project requirements.
• Perform accurate measurements, leveling, and setting out of construction works.
• Establish and verify coordinates, benchmarks, reference points, and site layouts.
• Read, interpret, and apply engineering drawings, specifications, and site plans.
• Operate and maintain surveying instruments and equipment, including Total Station and GPS.
• Prepare and maintain accurate survey records, measurements, and documentation.
• Identify and report discrepancies between site conditions and approved drawings.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams regarding surveying requirements.
• Support site teams in resolving technical and surveying-related issues.
• Ensure surveying activities comply with applicable quality standards, safety requirements, and site procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Surveying, Civil Engineering, Geomatics, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in construction surveying or engineering projects.
• Strong knowledge of surveying principles, techniques, and construction layouts.
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply engineering drawings and site plans.
• Proficiency in surveying instruments and relevant software, including Total Station, GPS, AutoCAD, and GIS.
• Strong measurement, leveling, and setting-out skills.
• Good understanding of construction processes and site procedures.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working on infrastructure, residential, or large-scale construction projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for identifying and resolving site discrepancies.
• Familiarity with surveying and engineering software.
• Good understanding of quality standards and construction specifications.
• Awareness of health, safety, and environmental requirements on construction sites.
