Infrastructure Engineer

About the Role

AlQudra Aldaema for Engineering Consultations is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to support the reliability, performance, security, and availability of the company’s IT infrastructure.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and maintaining servers, storage, virtualization, networking, and cloud infrastructure. The role involves infrastructure monitoring, troubleshooting, automation, security, backup and disaster recovery, and ensuring stable and efficient IT services.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and maintain servers, storage, virtualization, networking, and cloud infrastructure.
• Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, and service health using monitoring tools and system logs.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and perform root-cause analysis to ensure timely resolution.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of cloud infrastructure and core cloud services.
• Apply infrastructure security principles and support the implementation of security controls.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts to improve infrastructure efficiency and reliability.
• Support Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices and related infrastructure deployments.
• Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes.
• Manage and document incidents, problems, and changes in accordance with ITIL/ITSM practices.
• Coordinate with DevOps, Security, Application teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to resolve infrastructure-related issues.
• Maintain accurate infrastructure documentation, configurations, and technical records.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance infrastructure performance, reliability, and service stability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, or a similar technical role.
• Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals.
• Proficiency with server, storage, and virtualization technologies.
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure and core cloud services.
• Experience with infrastructure monitoring, troubleshooting, and log analysis.
• Working knowledge of information and infrastructure security fundamentals.
• Experience with automation and scripting.
• Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity concepts.
• Good understanding of ITIL/ITSM concepts, including incident, problem, and change management.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with enterprise IT infrastructure environments.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and infrastructure services.
• Experience with infrastructure monitoring and observability tools.
• Knowledge of automation frameworks and scripting languages.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools and practices.
• Knowledge of infrastructure security and hardening practices.
• Experience supporting backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Strong technical documentation and reporting skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional technical teams and external vendors.
