JOB OVERVIEW

The Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting the organization’s network infrastructure. This role ensures reliable connectivity, network security, and system performance to support daily business operations. The position also plays a key role in troubleshooting network issues, improving network performance, and ensuring data communication systems are secure and efficient.

KEY DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Install, configure, and maintain network equipment (printers, routers, switches, firewalls, access points).
   2. Monitor network performance and ensure system availability.
   3. Manage LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and internet connectivity.
   4. Implement network security measures including firewalls and access controls.
   5. Monitor for unauthorized access, threats, and vulnerabilities.
   6. Support data protection and secure network practices.
   7. Diagnose and resolve network connectivity and performance issues.
   8. Provide technical support to users for network-related problems.
   9. Coordinate with IT team for system upgrades and improvements.
   10. Perform regular system checks and preventive maintenance.
   11. Assist in network expansion, upgrades, and new installations. 12. Perform other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Direct Head from time to time.

SKILLS, COMPETENCIES & QUALIFICATIONS

1. Network configuration and management
   2. Understanding of routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems
   3. Network security basics
   4. Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
   5. Ability to work under pressure and respond to incidents quickly
   6.Good communication and documentation skills

TRAININGS and CERTIFICATIONS

1. Network infrastructure and administration
   2. Network security basics
   3. Wireless networking
   4. Network monitoring and performance management
   5. Troubleshooting network and connectivity issues
   6. Firewall configuration and management
   7. Basic server networking (Windows and/or Linux)

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT

English proficiency: Advanced

Arabic proficiency: Fluent
