Holol Academy is seeking a qualified and experienced Computing Instructor to teach within our Pearson BTEC Higher National Diploma in Computing programme.
Units to be delivered:
- Programming
- Discrete Maths
- Data Structures & Algorithms
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging theoretical and practical sessions in line with Pearson BTEC requirements.
- Teach programming concepts, algorithms, programming paradigms, IDE use and debugging.
- Deliver discrete mathematics topics including set theory, functions, graph theory, Boolean algebra and abstract algebra.
- Teach data structures and algorithms, including ADTs, stacks, queues, trees, sorting and searching algorithms, algorithm complexity and implementation.
- Guide students through practical programming tasks, assignments and projects.
- Assess student work and provide constructive academic feedback.
- Support students in achieving the required BTEC learning outcomes.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computing, Mathematics, or a closely related field.
- Strong knowledge of programming, algorithms and data structures.
- Strong mathematical foundation relevant to computing.
- Proficiency in at least one relevant programming language.
- Previous teaching or training experience is preferred.
- Good command of English.
- Ability to deliver both theoretical concepts and practical applications effectively.
