Job Title: Senior Civil Engineer

Job Type:     Full-time 

Work Location:    Tripoli – Libya.

Report to: Project Manager

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ability to prepare and calculate quantities and prepare tables of specifications and quantities
Manage, supervise and visit contractors on site and advice on civil engineering issues.
Manage all materials and labor necessary to complete the project.
Maintain work plan and ensure safe working conditions.
Decent knowledge of all civil work activities.
Archive project work, incoming information and outgoing information.
Maintain a clean and safe workspace and abide by workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
Other tasks as directed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee construction, finishing, and building maintenance operations.
• Directly supervise contractors and on-site laborers at both construction and maintenance sites.
• Conduct rigorous on-site quality control to ensure adherence to approved engineering standards.
• Perform accurate quantity surveying and calculate project completion percentages.
• Draft and submit detailed technical reports and regular progress reports.
• Identify site requirements and handle the sourcing and procurement of necessary materials.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• 1 to 5 years of proven experience in construction, finishing, and building maintenance.
• Willingness and ability to work on sites outside of Tripoli.
• A valid driver’s license and full capability to drive and commute across sites.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Word and Excel) and AutoCAD.
• Strong capability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
• High level of professional commitment, punctuality, and responsibility.
