To operate and maintain laundry equipment efficiently and ensure that all garments, uniforms, and linens are washed, dried, ironed, and handled in accordance with quality, hygiene, and safety standards, providing an efficient laundry service that meets the operational needs of the hotel or facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate laundry machines and equipment in accordance with approved operating procedures.
Sort garments and linens by type, color, and washing instructions.
Wash, dry, iron, fold, and prepare laundry items according to quality standards.
Perform routine equipment checks and report any faults or maintenance requirements.
Use detergents, chemicals, and cleaning agents safely and according to company procedures.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area and equipment.
Inspect laundered items to ensure they meet quality standards before delivery.
Comply with occupational health, safety, and hygiene standards, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Monitor laundry supplies and report shortages of detergents or operational materials.
Perform any other duties assigned by the Laundry Supervisor or Housekeeping Manager.
