Accounts Payable Accountant

Company: ModernHR (Recruiting on behalf of a client in the Telecommunications Industry)

ModernHR is currently recruiting an Accounts Payable Accountant for one of our clients operating in the telecommunications industry. We are looking for a detail-oriented accounting professional with a strong understanding of accounts payable processes and ERP systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
• Verify invoices and ensure proper approvals before payment.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve payment discrepancies.
• Prepare and process payment runs in accordance with company procedures.
• Maintain accurate financial records related to accounts payable.
• Assist with month-end closing activities and account reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls.
• Collaborate with internal departments and vendors to resolve invoice and payment issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1–4 years of experience in Accounts Payable, General Accounting, or a similar accounting role.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
• Experience working with ERP systems and accounting software.
• Hands-on experience processing Accounts Payable transactions through ERP platforms.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle Fusion, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo, or similar platforms is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of or exposure to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
