About the Role

The Senior QC Engineer (Electrical Specialist) is responsible for overseeing, performing, and documenting inspections and quality verifications for all electrical construction and installation activities.

This includes power distribution systems, cable laying, cable tray and conduit installation, switchgear, transformers, lighting systems, grounding and lightning protection, fire alarm systems, and low current systems. The role ensures compliance with approved design drawings, project specifications, applicable codes and standards, and client requirements.

Additionally, the Senior QC Engineer provides technical guidance to site teams, supports the implementation of quality control procedures, and contributes to continual improvement of construction quality and compliance across all electrical works.

Qualification

• Educational Background:  University degree in Engineering.
• Experience Level: Minimum 1-year relevant experience.

️Key Skills & Competencies

• Advanced MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook) for inspection logs and test tracking.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD for reviewing electrical shop drawings, single-line diagrams, and cable routing plans.
• Ability to use electrical design and analysis software such as ETAP, Dialux, or equivalent for design review purposes.
• Strong technical understanding of power distribution systems, LV/MV switchgear, grounding systems, and low-current installations.
• Knowledge of electrical testing equipment and procedures (megger, earth resistance testers, relay test sets).
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and methodical in documentation.
• Strong coordination and communication skills with site teams, subcontractors, and third-party inspectors.
• Proactive in identifying potential electrical quality issues and implementing preventive measures.
• High professional integrity and accountability in decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and conduct inspections and surveillance of all electrical installation activities in accordance with approved ITPs, Method Statements, and project specifications.
• Verify that electrical materials (cables, switchgear, panels, transformers, lighting fixtures, conduits, cable trays, etc.) and workmanship consistently meet the required quality standards.
• Monitor and witness electrical testing activities including insulation resistance, continuity, earth resistance, high voltage testing, relay testing, and functional performance tests.
• Supervise cable pulling, termination, and megger testing activities, ensuring compliance with approved shop drawings and manufacturer specifications.
• Review and maintain inspection reports, test results, NCR logs, cable schedules, and photographic records for each stage of electrical works.
• Raise, document, and monitor Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), ensuring timely closure through effective Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
• Coordinate closely with site engineers, subcontractors, and third-party inspectors to ensure proper execution and testing of electrical installations.
• Validate that completed works conform to approved single-line diagrams, layout drawings, cable routing plans, and applicable engineering standards.
• Support QA Engineers and Head of QA/QC during audits, project handover preparation, and the development of quality assurance documentation.
• Lead or contribute to lessons-learned sessions, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives related to electrical construction quality.
• Ensure that all QC records and documentation are properly maintained, traceable, and audit-ready in both digital and hard copy formats.
• Stay updated with the latest electrical standards (IEC, NEC, BS, EN, local specifications), project specifications, and company quality procedures, and ensure their consistent implementation on site.
• Participate in the review of electrical design documentation when potential errors or inconsistencies are identified.
• Provide support to the QA team in developing key quality documents and procedures, including Method Statements,
• Checklists, Test Reports, and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)

Language Requirement

English Proficiency: Upper – Intermediate المستوى المتوسط ​​- الأعلى

Arabic Proficiency: Fluent طلاقة
