Accountant

To maintain accurate daily financial records and ensure compliance with the Libyan financial regulatory context under the direct supervision of the Finance Manager.

This role supports the finance department by processing core financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and preparing foundational data required for management decision-making and reporting.

Core Responsibilities 70%

Financial Recording: Input daily transactions, revenues, expenses, and invoices into the company’s ERP system.

Ledger Management: Maintain accurate accounts receivable and accounts payable by ledgers, flagging payment delays to the Finance Manager.

Bank Reconciliations: Complete monthly bank reconciliation statements for all company accounts to identify variance discrepancies.

Additional Responsibilities 30%

Payroll Processing: Compile monthly employee attendance, overtime, and deduction data for the Finance Manager’s final approval.

Reporting Support: Gather and format preliminary financial data to assist the Finance Manager with the monthly financial closing.

Tax Compliance: Prepare the necessary documentation for quarterly local tax filings and Social Security (INAS) contributions.

Audit Preparation: Organize financial folders, vouchers, and receipts to support internal and external annual audit schedules.

Budget Analyses and preparation: Support the Finance Department in periodic budget analysis meetings and provide input on the preparation of budget analyses.
